CYGAM ENERGY INC. (FORMERLY SHEER ENERGY INC.): TRADING OF CYGAM’S SHARES RESUMES ON OCTOBER 24, 2005


CYGAM ENERGY INC. (TSX Venture Exchange: CYG)

Calgary, Alberta, October 21, 2005 – Further to the news release of October 12, Sheer Energy Inc. (“Sheer”) has now changed its name to Cygam Energy Inc. (“Cygam” or the “Corporation”) and is pleased to announce that it has received final approval by the TSX Venture Exchange for the resumption of trading of the shares of the Corporation.

Shares of Cygam will start trading under the new symbol (“CYG”) as of Monday, October 24, 2005.

Further details relating to the transaction involving Sheer may be found in the Filing Statement filed on www.sedar.com on August 29, 2005. All previous press releases made by Sheer can now be viewed under the name of Cygam Energy Inc.
